This is the Coronado Personal Solar Telescope. I am not much of a solar observer, but must admit this little scope makes viewing our local star a lot of fun. Shortly after getting this scope, I had an opportunity to set it up at the Kennedy Space Center annual picnic booth hosted by the KSCAA. It was a real crowd pleaser. I received a lot of very nice comments from the general public regarding the views through this little scope. Seeing solar activity through HA is a LOT more interesting (to me) than what I have seen through the common white light filters. Since I am so new to solar viewing, I have a bit of a learning curve ahead of me, so I will add more data to this narrative in the future. I do not know if this scope will turn me into a Solar viewer, but what I have seen to this point sure enhances the viewing experience. In short this scope has a 40mm objective and a focal length of 400mm. The key property of this little scope is the built in Hydrogen Alpha filter system designed specifically for solar viewing.
