Super Polaris Adjustments |

The Vixen super Polaris mount is a very robust medium duty mount. One of the greatest strengths of the mount is the ability to adjust both axis to minimize backlash and gear mesh. The following pages will provide a little insight into the methods I use to adjust the SP mount. The first view of the mount is with the RA motor, clutch, and gear removed from the worm shaft. This must be completed prior to adjustment to allow access to the adjustment screws. DISCLAIMER The process and adjustments on the following pages should be used at your own risk. I have used this process many times, but cannot guarantee the outcome. If you review the process, use the correct tools, be patient, and do not over tighten anything the results should be positive.
