Takahashi Teegul

Sky 90 on a Takahashi Lapides Modified Teegul Mount
This is the Takahashi Teegul mount with the Lapides modification. The original Teegul Alt-azimuth mount used a large arm to place the OTA centered on the central axis of the mount. The Lapides modification removes this large support arm and places the OTA offset to the central axis of the mount, but much lower. This is reported to significantly reduce the vibration and increase stability of the mount. In either configuration the key element of the Teegul Alt-azimuth mount is the slow motion controls in both axis. These slow motion controls are fantastic at higher magnification when the ability to track or locate objects is required.
